Here are some simple tips on how to get your stories Digged. You will need a Twitter account, a digg account, a nice representative pic and inspiration.
So here is how you can increase your article Digg rate
Darren over @ problogger.net said in one of his posts that he doesn’t personally submit his own articles on digg, for the fact that social networks tend to penalize a person if it diggs for the same domain. So, for this post, you will not submit your articles on Digg.
Tip #1. First off, go on Digg, to your nice category and find new users that post frequently on that subject, digg their articles and add them as friends. Try to find new users with few or no friends, they will likely add you as a mutual friend.
Tip #2. Try and digg on their stories as often as they post them, this build up trust between you and the user. Possibly the user out of consideration will also digg on your articles.
Tip #3. Visit their blog, profile etc, and add them on Twitter, let them know you are from digg and you are friends. The best is to send them a email informing them of it.
Tip #4. Retweet almost every article that they post on Twitter, the user grows more trustfully on you.
Tip #5. If you find users with Digg authority and friends, it`s even better, ask them trough an email if they would like to post your article on digg for you. Often they will accept it and you will get way more diggs than if you would post it.
Here is an actual example. I wrote a guest post for a user from digg after making those tips, if I would have submitted that article I have possibly reached 2-3 diggs. But when the user with my guest post submitted it to Digg it went to 190 diggs in 16 hours.
