20 Joomla file management extensions and plugins

As I support Wordpress I also support Joomla and Drupal, and for this great post I prepared 24 file management extensions and plugins for your Joomla website.

For a WordPress powered website, I find it more difficult to set up a user powered download directory, especially when you have eager clients to try out your developed project. This can cause loads of downtime and client rage when they don’t find out how to set up that download file.

For a file management directory I find Joomla the best CMS to build. It`s easy light, works out of the box in 50 seconds flat and has great functionality and support.

A simple yet effective plugin that allows your Joomla user to download any photo or .pdf document without selecting “save target as..”. With this plugin you can download via the regular browser download client.

JX List Files

This module lists the files of a directory on your web server. It can also make links for those files on your server. I think this is the most simple and effective direct download linking module for Joomla.
