In today`s post we will learn 8 places to distribute your new wordpress template for maximizing template exposure. Theme authors often choose this type of exposure because it can attract a lot of link juice and visitors in a very little time-frame. Keep in mind that in some places you can try and list your template, and in other places the template just turbo-boost away (with less exposure).

Some other things I must point out are the facts that some gallery owners tend to remove your author URL or insert hidden links inside your theme, so be careful on where you submit. Be shure you are well comfortable with the theme directory or gallery you are submiting to.

Official WordPress Theme Directory
Reaching almost 900 wordpress themes, with 6,345,543 downloads. This is by far the best place to submit your new template. Keep in mind that the featured templates on the directory frontpage get about 2000 to 3000 download hits per day and that translates into possibly 2000 to 3000 possible IBL (inbound links) per day.

The acceptance is not very high, the directory is human edited and your template must be in perfect shape to get accepted.

Weblog Tools Collection
This blog announces new themes and plug-ins to its 11,000+ subscribers. And additionally you can submit wordpress plugins and wordpress news. The review time is a little slow, they review new plugins and news one a week but this is definitely one of the best places to submit your wordpress projects.

They have three separate forums on each topic: template, plugins and news, the beneficial thing is that you can get precious feedback over this improving your submission.

Unmatched Themes template directory
A simple wordpress theme directory site with fast review rate but with no update feature, this means that if your template wasn’t good enough well “it hasn’t been listed, it just didn’t make the cut”.

I recommend submiting to this directory because no hidden links and the templates receive good promotion from the resource, as long as you do not get over excited and overflow with submissions.

As a follow-up from the previous post, I decided to release 2 XML flash Galleries that are a must in almost every web project you develop.

XML Flash gallery

XML galleries are easily customizable using around 30 parameters available in the XML file. It can be used for both fixed size and resizable pages.

XML GALLERY DESIGNER

Xml Gallery Designer is used to create wide range of infinity structural galleries. Using customizePanel, it’s easy to customize and preview the gallery and also to generate the XML code. No need to edit the xml file, Just copy and paste the xml code. In the preview page I give 7 basic variations of the gallery.

Note: All galleries on the preview page are run by single swf file.

Unique Features:

• Browse the thumbnail menu by scroll or forward backward button. Option to control the scroll speed.
• Option to change the thumbnail width and height, thumbnail image is automatically fit to thumb area.
• Control thumbnail border color, border size, border alpha, highlight color, highlight size, highlight alpha, Tint color, Tint alpha and thumb to thumb space. Ability to enable or disable the thumbnail rollover brightness effect.
• If thumbnail is not load the title text will show on the thumb area.

Source file:

• This is an AS2 file which will open in MX 8 and higher. The file size is only 38 Kb with video player. Without video player the file size is 32 kb.
• customizePanel is only available in source file.
